The Polar Circle Marathon, famously dubbed "the coolest marathon on Earth," unfolds in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, located at a striking 66.5 degrees north of the equator—right within the Arctic Circle.
Organized by Albatros Adventure Marathons, this event stands out as one of the most remote races globally, set against a backdrop of endless ice. It presented a remarkable opportunity for me to challenge myself against one of the toughest marathons while exploring the vast expanse of the world's largest island. Additionally, I held hopes of witnessing the mesmerizing Northern Lights.
